About Us
Deniz Ebrahimi Azar is an Iranian architect and the founder of Deniz Ebrahimi Architecture Studio, established in 2023. His practice is built around research, contextual thinking, and the idea that architecture should grow out of clear concepts rather than predefined forms.
Since starting his professional career in 2014, Deniz has worked across a wide range of residential, commercial, cultural, and healthcare projects, from early concept design through to detailed development and realization. Before founding his own studio, he spent five years at MADO Architects as Studio Director for both the Tehran and Toronto offices, where he led and contributed to more than sixty projects.
His work focuses on the intersection of architecture, landscape, and human experience. He approaches each commission as a spatial system shaped by its cultural context, environmental conditions, and social narratives, rather than as an isolated building object. Pragmatic paradigms, projective architecture, and diagrammatic thinking are recurring principles that guide his design process.
Deniz's projects have received national and international recognition, including First Prize at the Architizer International Competition for two consecutive years, First Prize at the 2ACAA International Competition, as well as awards from the Memar Award, the Architecture & Construction Competition, the Villa Magazine Competition, and several other architectural events. In 2023, together with MADO Architects, he was acknowledged by the Architizer Foundation as the leading architecture firm among thirty practices in Iran for excellence in architectural design and professional achievement.
Through Deniz Ebrahimi Architecture Studio, he continues to pursue architecture as a multidisciplinary practice where research, innovation, and tectonic expression come together to create meaningful, enduring, and human-centered environments.
